The Musical Island Boys are an a capella quartet, who combine four-part harmonic excellence with the class and elegance of their Pacific roots, delivering a high-energy performance to audiences worldwide. Their talent for entertaining and inspiring internationally with their soaring harmony is backed by a rock solid foundation of almost 40 years of combined, real-world experience on the International stage.
The quartet has received many National and International Barbershop awards, winning the 2004 Pan Pacific Title and recieving the 'Most Entertaining Quartet' award in consecutive New Zealand competitions. 2006 saw the Musical Island Boys make history, securing International Championship Collegiate Gold in Indianapolis, being the first quartet from outside of the United States to capture the prestigious trophy.
This year in 2009, the quartet made their debut in the International Open Men's division in Anaheim, becoming the first non-American quartet in the 70 years of the Barbershop Harmony Society to make the Top 10 finals on debut, reserved only for the elite of the Barbershop Harmony world. For this, they recieved the Dealer's Choice Award, given to the highest scoring quartet on debut.
The quartet delivers dazzling performances of vocal range and skill, entertaining both young and old with their dynamic polyphony and immaculate delivery of the craft.
